Love in the digital age
Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel and Spa has created the perfect solution to put an end to wedding guest list dilemmas with the launch of a new wedding web cam facility.
The 17th Century former stately home is the only Cumbrian wedding venue to offer live internet broadcasts for civil ceremonies, providing the bridal couple with the opportunity to offer virtual invites to friends and relatives who are not able to attend on the day.
Virtual guests can access and control a webcam in the beautiful Lake District country house through a unique password and username, and view live footage pictures of the big day.
The introduction of the wedding web cam coincides with the opening of the hotel’s luxury Broadwater Suite, which will accommodate up to 150 wedding guests. The suite will offer greater flexibility on guest list numbers and will feature floor to ceiling windows overlooking beautiful landscaped gardens and state of the art lighting and music systems.
Carolyn Graves, Director of Armathwaite Hall, comments: “Until recently, due to the space available, bridal couples have been limited to wedding parties of a maximum of 80 people, but with the wedding web cam in operation and the opening of the Broadwater suite in 2009, this will no longer be a problem.”
“Sharing your special day with friends and family is important, but finding a date that suits everyone isn’t always easy. With the advances in technology over recent years, couples can now include absent friends from around the world on their special day.”
