1/ Approach your local catering college about catering for the reception - you may get a future Gordon Ramsey
2/ Save on cars - local taxi companies often have upmarket new cars that they can dress up and hire out for the morning
3/ Get 5 of your friends to perform their "party piece" as part of the evening entertainment (music / comedy / stories/ singalong) this makes for a great atmosphere and saves on live entertainment
4/ Can't think of thinks to put on the guest list ?, got everything you need already ? - don't be afraid of asking for money instead !
5/ Shops like Ikea have some great items for table centrepieces eg vases, candles etc, a bit of imagination here can save a lot of money
6/ Get a friend to video or photograph the wedding - Someone on your guest list will have a talent for this, or even do it as a hobby - ask around, it will save a fortune on professional fees
7/ Consider hiring a wedding planner for anything you are unsure of, they are often glad to be part of any wedding and can be worth their feein the money they save
8/ Trim your wedding guest list, "plus one" on an invite or people you feel you "ought to" invite from work add more than you think
9/ Have your wedding on a Friday or a Sunday, it gives you more options for venues, they often allow shorter notice and are a lot cheaper (up to 50% in some cases)
10/ Start your wedding later - the later you start it the less you will have to feed, water and entertain your guests
